The Raster™ method has quickly become the preferred process for producing Tactile Braille signage. Together with Zünd’s advanced routing, engraving and inlay capabilities you will enjoy the world’s most productive Braille sign fabrication system.

Thanks to the ingenious invention of Louis Braille, blind persons throughout the world can read as well as their sighted counterparts. Braille‘s invention was a system of raised dots that can be read with the fingertips. The Raster™ method of Braille is the most effective process to manufacture tactile signage. The process is simple; drill a hole and insert a ball into it.

Zünd’s Braille Tool utilizes the Raster™ Pen and licensing kit from Accent Signage Systems, Inc., that provides everything you need to start producing great looking and functional Braille signage. The licence kit includes how-to users manual allows you to easily and consistently make Braille signage that complies with local laws and regulations.

Designs can be made using standard available design software utilizing standard available Braille fonts.

The new tool is fully compatible with Tz tool heads for PN series and the Universal Module for the G3 series. For best result, it is recommend to use a G3 series with the Router Module that utilizes “Surface Compensation” to insure accurate Braille height from the surface of the sign face.
